What is Dripstop® & How Does It Work?
Dripstop® is a specially engineered, non-woven felt membrane factory-laminated directly to the underside of metal roof panels before they arrive at your construction site.
Instead of letting condensation bead up and drip down into your workspace or storage area, Dripstop® manages moisture passively through a continuous 3-step cycle:
Absorb: As moisture forms on the cold metal roof panel, the Dripstop® felt traps and holds the water in microscopic pockets. It can hold over 1 quart of water per 10 square feet without dripping!
Hold: The strong capillary bond keeps the water locked inside the material—even on steep roof pitches up to 45°.
Evaporate: When the outside temperature rises above the dew point and airflow passes through the building, the trapped moisture naturally evaporates back into the ambient air as normal humidity.
